a few words about something we should all think about...
At Danfield Audio we are passionate about designing and producing wonderful audio products for you to enjoy for years to come.
We are constantly surprised to hear that products that we built over twenty years ago are still in service at great studio facilities around the world - and are continuing to perform in a floorless fashion.
However, to do any of this doesn't mean it has to cost the earth. Although we are a small company, we do our best to ensure that our products and working practices are as environmentally friendly as is economically possible.
All our solder and painting material is lead-free. All our components are Rohs approved, and have been for quite some time (i.e. well before they actually needed to be, and before many of the other more esteemed companies in our industry). And we expect this from all our preferred sub-contractors.

Everything we design here in Copenhagen is built with manufacturing partners that care just as much about their environmental obligations as we do.
Any continental shipping of the product only occurs once - i.e. when it is shipped to the client. Danfield Audio doesn't do offshore - and so our systems do not create a significant carbon message whilst being produced. In our home city of Copenhagen, we even deliver our products the good old-fashioned way - by bike.
We try to package our designs in recyclable materials. Even our packing tape is paper based and edible (Not that we recommend it. Ed.) We will also supply our systems in pre-used recycled packaging if our clients request it - and we offer an extra 0.5% discount in the sales agreement to reflect this choice.
It can be costly to design and build in one region, but we think it is worth it - and we still manage to pass on a very good level of savings to our clients.
It just seems like good common sense to us.
