monitor core: high performance simplified

The new stock Danfield Audio monitor controller is here.We call it the monitor core. The system is a powerful tool
for the remixer, the mastering engineer, the ADR & dubbing technician and the project studio owner who requires a simple and affordable monitor controller that doesn't compromise on sonic quality.
monitor core remote:
- 4 EXT input switches (I, II,III,IV). These can be SUMmed or individually selected using the LATCH/MOM switch.
-
3 Monitor outputs.
- Standard monitor control functions such as CUT, DIM, MONO, CUT L and CUT R.
- Pressing CUT L & R together, makes a speaker flip function - so that audio balance can be judged when mixing for long periods.
- CUE and Talkback switch allows easy control of tracking sessions.

-
Studio level control. Big controller with excellent tracking characteristics - with lots and lots (and lots) of headroom.
The Remote control unit connects to processor via one simple DSub25– in 5m (standard length). Cable also available as 10m to 50m custom options. Custom cable prices are POA.
monitor2 processor rack:
- 4 balanced inputs and 3 balanced outputs, with adjustable gain trim.
- An independent cue bus with TB level control. To maintain talkback quality we have decided to provide external talkback only so that external talkback mics can be placed remotely from the rack or remote, and away from the mix position - such as in a ceiling, for example.
- Balanced Ins and Outs connected via 25 way D-subs compatible with the DigidesignTM 25 way pin out logic. Breakout cables can be made to order using high quality Van Damme cable.
- Dedicated balanced TRS meter outputs.
- Two headphone outputs with individual monitor and input control. A selectable gain range switch allows selection of the correct gain range for high and low impedance headphone types.
The power of the SubMistress:
Danfield Audio have developed an innovative and flexible method of auxiliary speaker control. The SubMistress section works independently of the input and outputs so that it can be set up as an additive element. Therefore:
- A subwoofer feed can be generated from the input sources.
- A subwoofer can be generated from an external input.
- A variable LPF can be preselected for both options.
As the LPF can be disabled, the SubMistress
can also be used as a handy extra output for CENTRE speaker control. This is very useful for facilities that require extra outputs for separate dialog channels, when tracking vocals and ADR post sync sessions for cinematic post production.
