726: compression for your mixes to be...

The Danfield 726 has been proven to be one of our most popular products - largely because of the versatility, durability and sound quality that it possesses. It has recently been re-vamped so that the system can be offered once again to you - but what made the sound of the 726 so special in the past has not been altered in any way. And the price remains just as delicious:
Asides from ergonomic changes, the major alteration to the design is the addition of a HPF that can be adjusted up to 800 Hz.
The 726 is an analog construction throughout, specially developed to handle stereo material.
The control side-chain operates with a mono sum of the Left and Right input. In this way the compressor will always produce an optimal stereo image. Also, by using fixed attack, release and ratio, you can always get to your favorite compression settings in moments.
All of the circuits were originally developed for use in music applications, and have been proven over two decades in a wide spectrum of musical styles.
This is not only because of the very low noise figures, but also due to the specifically shaped attack/release curves. The 726 series VCA’s are also designed to deliver a very high quality analog audio performance.
The input/output circuit is a powerful servo balanced design connected to XLR connectors. The attack, release and ratio envelopes are selected values - originally found by researching different vintage dynamics chains.
This intelligence was then combined with Danfield’s own studio recording and mixing experiences. The blend has produced one of the most flexible and sonically enjoyable analog dynamics systems available today.
But don't take our word for it. Try one!
